Statement of faith

THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible consists of 66 books, both Old (39) and New (27) Testament, which is the sole authority for every believer in terms of norms and practice. (Psalms 12:6,7; Matthew 5:18-19; Mark 13:31; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

 

ONE TRUE GOD

We believe in the one Creator God who is Lord of heaven and earth, existing in three distinct eternal Persons namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1,2; Deuteronomy 6:4; Job 33:4; Colossians 1.16; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 1:10)

 

JESUS, THE GOD MAN

We affirm the full Deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ. That He was sent by the Father to suffer and die a cruel death on the cross. That He was buried and after three days rose again physically from the dead. That He ascended into heaven and seated at the right hand of His Father. (Mark 16:19; John 1:1; 2:19; 3:16; 19:18; 20:28; Acts 1:9; 5:30; Philippians 2:6-8; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:14)

 

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD

We believe in the Deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. That after the Son’s ascension, He sent the third Person of the Godhead also to empower every believer for witnessing. (John 4:24; 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; 5:3,4)

 

SAVED BY GRACE

We believe that every person who is a sinner can be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. That a person is justified to be righteous before God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone–apart from good works. That a person’s faith is justified before the eyes of men by good works. That every saved person is created by God for good works. (Romans 3:28; 4:5; 11:6; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12; 2 Timothy 1:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:14; James 2:14-26)

 

THE GOOD NEWS NOW

We believe in the urgency of proclaiming the gospel to every people so they would escape the wrath of God in a literal hell fire and experience eternal life. (Matthew 18:9; John 3:16,17; Romans 6:23)

 

THE TRUE CHURCH

We believe that the universal Church, with Jesus Christ as its head, consists of true believers around the globe who has experienced salvation in Him. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:47; Ephesians 5:23; 2 Corinthians 6:16)

 

JESUS IS COMING SOON

We believe Jesus Christ will come again visibly. (Daniel 7:13; Matthew 16.27; 24:26-51; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
