WHEN WAS YOUR GROUP FORMED?

The Bereans: Apologetics Research Ministry (formerly Apologetics Research Team) was formed in 1995.

DO YOU HAVE ANY DENOMINATIONAL GROUP AFFILIATION?

This ministry is not under the umbrella of any specific church denomination.

ARE YOU JUST FORMED TO COUNTER WHAT?

The Lord impressed in my heart to form a spiritual discernment ministry in countering the false claims and teachings of every major and minor cult group, foreign and domestic, as well as major religions, occult beliefs, animism, and any unbiblical teachings and principles that oppose the Bible.

ARE YOU FORMALLY TRAINED IN A THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY?

Yes.

WHAT IS YOUR MAIN GOAL?

To train and equip pastors, lay leaders, and Christian members in cult evangelism; to evangelize every skeptic and cult group existing in our country; and to provide adequate information to the public so they will know the spiritual or physical harm and dangers posed by these unbiblical groups.

HOW ARE YOU BEING SUPPORTED?

I am glad that there are believers who are touched by the Lord as they see the purpose of this ministry—to train and equip believers and evangelize cults and skeptics.

WHAT IS YOUR BELIEF CONCERNING SALVATION, THE CHURCH, THE SECOND COMING, AND GOD?

SALVATION: By grace through faith alone and not by works.

CHURCH: This consists of all genuinely born-again believers from Christian churches around the world.

SECOND COMING: Jesus will come back again in the flesh, and every eye shall see Him.

TRIUNE GOD: We believe that there are three distinct divine Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not the Father, nor is He the Holy Spirit. Our belief in the Trinity is what the apostles and the early Church Fathers held. This ministry embraces the Christian creeds, especially the Athanasian Creed.

CONCERNING YOUR APPROACH TO OTHER DENOMINATIONS?

This ministry extends its hand of fellowship to all Christian denominations and ministries that adhere to the orthodox teachings of the Christian faith.

CONCERNING YOUR FEELINGS ABOUT RECENT HAPPENINGS AROUND THE WORLD?

This already deals with eschatology, and every Christian theologian can testify that there are various schools of thought in this area.
